Please direct anyone interested to WWW.miamivillecivic.org and “Become a Member” One of the first steps we need to take is to block the OHIO EPA from issuing a permit to Clermont County to discharge into the Little Miami River. We are looking for a law firm with a proven track record of success in dealing with OEPA and this type of issue. 3) We need as many as people to sign up for membership as possible, as soon as possible so that we have the legal status to file suit. Sign up on the website and send in $5.00 membership fee to the address above. 4) Volunteer Action Meeting on Sat., Nov 15 at 9:00 am., at Miamiville Boat Club or Miamiville Fire House. Location to be determined and announced in next day or two. This meeting is for anyone willing to help. We will be taking membership applications, nominating officers, and committee members. Most importantly, we will be looking for volunteers to take action on items including the following: Contacting & obtain position and or support from local business, citizen & environmental groups, and politicians Fund raising campaign and Public Relations/notification  Research other successful citizen campaigns against sewage treatment plants (Boone Co.) Contact and update local media Research local area history for area preservation  Maintain contact with EPA. Document EPA activities with this & other similar projects. Research sewage treatment systems & propose best possible system, & better alternatives Document abuses at local treatment and package plants, and other unregulated sources of pollution in river Suggest and advance ideas for the development of a beautifulrestoration of the village of Miamiville! Offer other help as you can contribute or have specific talent or experience. We really need everyone’s help in getting an organized effort underway.
