From: partee@littlemiami.com To: 'Bob Mackey' Sent: Friday, October 24, 2003 8:10 AM Subject: Last night's meeting MCA Town Meeting on the proposed Miamiville Sewage Treatment Plant Bob Congratulations to you and the MCA leadership for a great turn out last night. LMI continues to oppose this treatment plant until such time as OEPA conducts a comprehensive TMDL water quality review of the matter (including the MSD and Mason treatment plant applications) and the full ecological health of the Little Miami is restored and assured for future generations. I must tell you that LMI is very concerned about comments made by one Miamiville resident concerning the potential for siting the sewage treatment plant along Horner Run. No thanks! LMI and the Boy Scouts have worked very hard for decades to preserve natural areas along the Little Miami and Horner Run, and destroying that natural splendor (there's precious little left in this area) for a sewage treatment plant would be unconscionable ! I would be happy to host a hike along Horner Run on our Smysor Horner Run Nature Preserve to show the members of MCA the beauty that is the Horner Run Valley. We respectfully request that the MCA go on record as opposing a Horner Run site. I hope that MCA and LMI can agree that the Little Miami and Horner Run are not for sale. Please let me know the MCA thoughts on this matter. Many thanks for your support over the past months. It is very much appreciated. We pledge our support in finding the right solution.
