Indian Lore at Camp Edgar Friedlander, Miamiville Ohio
In the 1950's and 60's every Friday night during the summer you could
go to Camp Friedlander to watch the Indian Dances. This was the
presentation the Scouts provided at the end of a week of camping.
Many residents of Miamiville would attend.
Miamiville Train Station at Branch Hill
Miamiville Road and the current bike trail. Notice in
the foreground the poles that were used to hang the outgoing
mail bags. This was for the outgoing mail.
The incoming mail was thrown from the mail car to land near the pole.
This is Mr. Leyman putting out the mail in Camp
Dennison. As the train passed by it would grab the mail bag.
This picture was taken between Lincoln and Campbell Av, near
Clement. The tracks are currently the bike trail.
